From a colour idea to a clearer enquiry.
A website for Edward Baker's painting and decorating business in Castleton, Rochdale. Warm editorial design introduces Edward and his services, while an interactive colour room gives visitors somewhere to explore their ideas.
A personal introduction to the business.
The site brings together service information, an introduction to Edward and an interactive local-area map. Visitors can get a feel for the business and its coverage before discussing a project.
A room you can make your own.
Visitors can explore Dulux Heritage colour references across the walls, woodwork and ceiling, compare schemes and switch between daylight and lamplight. Wall details and floor tones give them more ways to consider how a room comes together.
Favourite schemes can be saved on the visitor's device or downloaded as a palette. When they are ready to enquire, they can include their chosen scheme with the quote request, helping Edward understand what they have in mind.
The room is an illustration for exploring ideas. Screen colours and simulated lighting are not an exact paint preview; physical samples remain part of choosing a finish.

The journey starts with the services and local coverage, then lets visitors explore a room without needing to choose a final finish. Saving a scheme keeps an idea available for later. Attaching it to the enquiry brings that idea into the conversation with Edward.
This is a description of the feature we built, not a claim about sales or conversion results. The illustration supports a discussion; it does not replace a decorator's assessment or a physical colour sample.
Design around the conversation.
The colour room gives visitors a practical way to express an idea before asking for a quote. It shows how a bespoke feature can support the real customer journey without changing the website's character.
